Consumer Products/Industrial Manufacturing Company is looking for:
POSITION: Food Safety and Quality Auditor
LOCATION:! Brooklyn/NYC New York
SALARY: 65-75K + bonus
DEGREE: Required

Primary Function:
The essential function of this position is to maintain and further develop a compliance audit program. The incumbent shall audit toward standards that hold company and its suppliers accountable to globally accepted quality srandards
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain and further develop internal audit program across all facilities
Conduct internal audits at all facilities to appropriate standard(s) (OSHA, USDA) etc., and facilitate corrective actions when necessary
Organize third-party audits and serve as liaison between facilities and certification bodies
Administer corrective actions and follow-up reports with key customers, suppliers and/or vendors
Maintain audit reports, and facilitate corr! ective actions with third-party audit firms
Serve as ! point contact at company for certification bodies, customers and suppliers
Read and digest substantial amounts of documented regulatory information
Attend courses and obtain training to gain better understanding of acceptable international guidelines and regulations for compliance
Become a subject matter expert regarding these types of audits
Assist, mentor, coach and advise with key vendors and identify potential remediation programs to ensure continuous compliance
Establish trust and maintain upmost confidentiality when reviewing highly sensitive and proprietary information
Report to senior management as needed
Other duties as assigned
Ensure compliance to all regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., SA 8000, FLA, GMPs, SQF, ISO 14001, OSHA)
Position Requirements:
A four-year college experience is preferred
Prior audit experience is preferred
Must be a self st! arter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task, lead projects, develop and mentor leadership
Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels inside the business and externally with suppliers, customers and regulatory agencies
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to facilitate and motivate teams
Strong customer, quality and continuous improvement focus
Auditing experience, with required ability to read and interpret documentation for regulatory and audit standards
Ability to document preventative and immediate corrective actions
drivers license must be maintained
Company travel including overnight stays will be require
