Senior Trainer | Legal Support Analyst

Admired international law firm is looking to hire a Senior Trainer / Support Analyst for its New York office.

Summary:
Develops and ! promotes technical solutions to the firm’s practice groups, lawyers, and staff to achieve time efficiencies, organization and learning in all offices. Provide skills aimed at leveraging the firm’s technology. Develop and deliver technical training and provide hands-on help desk support.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Develops and delivers high-quality technical training via classroom, remote webinars, and one-on-one sessions.

Develop training material including online intranet content, user guides, manuals (hard-copy and online) brochures, videos and web casts.

Travels between firm offices to conduct training and delivers training remotely to other firm offices.

Adheres to a training schedule and the firm’s trainer scripts to ensure consistency.

Updates reference materials to ensure they are current, accurate and available for use.

Takes a proactive approach in present and future training needs of the firm. !

Maintains technical competence in relevant software. !

Willingness to teach evening or weekend classes, when the need arises.

Fully augments Help Desk technical support when not providing training function, including answering Help Desk calls, processing email and researching technical issues.

Provides handheld support for the office including, but not limited to, iPhones and Blackberries.

Participates in rollouts of new software and hardware technology.

Fully aware of and willingness to abide by firm policies and procedures.

Recognizes the importance of effective client service and presents the Firm in a positive light.

Successfully sets priorities and completes tasks in a timely manner, paying special attention to detail.

Keeps scheduled appointments, reports for work on time and maintains good attendance.

Maintains appearance and conduct that is appropriate for a professional services environment.

Adjusts to changing priorities and is w! illing and able to take on new tasks and responsibilities.

Generally remains calm and focused in pressure situations.

Relates to the by personnel when using technology, and provides aide to the user without criticizing the system and without criticizing colleagues.

Operates well without specific direction and close supervision, given general guidelines for the task. Establishes and maintains effective working relationship with legal and administrative personnel throughout the firm.

As with all positions, will be required to perform other duties as deemed necessary and assigned by the Information Technology Services Manager in New York and the Information Technology Support Services Manager in outside office.

Qualifications:
Excellent communication, organizational, technical writing and interpersonal skills required. The firm will request a writing sample!

A minimum of one year of experience in a law firm or le! gal environment desired.

Possess a thorough understanding of t! he requirements of legal documents and procedural requirements.

A minimum of two years of classroom training experience.

Minimum of six months of Help Desk support experience required.

Four+ years of direct relevant work experience in Microsoft Office 2010.

Education:
B.S./B.A. preferred.
