Provides a broad range of human resources services in line with business objectives, strategic goals, and HR initiatives. Serves as a consultant and b! usiness partner to managers, employees, outside agencies, and others on HR-related issues. Assists managers and employees in understanding and applying HR tools in order to maximize employee performance, achieve organizational effectiveness, improve employee engagement, and ensure legal compliance. Services provided may include employee relations, compensation, corporate social responsibility (CSR), training, and special projects.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Respond to employee inquiries regarding company policies, procedures and programs
2. Responsible for TMMâs onboarding process including conducting new hire orientation, processing paperwork, ensuring completeness of new hire folder and following up on 6 month evaluations.
3. Responsible for TMMâs offboarding process including exit interviews and processing paperwork
4. Assist in the performance management process and review appraisals for completeness and accuracy
5. Assist in employee relations, as needed conduct formal ! and informal counseling of employees, witness
 and record employee responses to counseling
6. Assist with the development of policies and procedures
7. Draft, review and edit internal employee communications
8. Coordinate on-site training programs and office events (ie lunch and learns, holiday party)
9. Coordinate and attend corporate social responsibility activities including off site volunteer events
10. Prepare monthly HR reports for Senior Management
11. Responsible for updating job descriptions and bi-weekly organizational charts
12. Assist with bi-weekly payroll audit by utilizing ADP as needed
13. Respond to unemployment notices, wage claims and employment verifications
14. Maintain I-9 forms in compliance with Federal laws; Act as a liaison with immigration attorneys
15. Review invoices for accuracy and process payment
16. Maintain Human Resource informatio! n system records and compiles reports from database
17. Promptly process workforce changes and employee change of status in HRIS
18. Manage all active, terminated, temporary and intern employee records
19. Responsible for complying with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at Company
Other Functions:
1. Monitor external human resources activities and trends
2. Perform special projects and other duties as may be assigned
3. Regular and reliable attendance
Qualifications:
1. Bachelorâs degree in human resources or related field; Masterâs preferred
2. Minimum 2 years of HR experience
3. HR certification (PHR or equivalent) preferred
4. Insurance industry experience preferred
5. Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks! simultaneously
6. Strong customer service/client-oriented ski! lls
7. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to effectively interact with all levels of employees
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality
9. Skills in presentations, oral/written communications and collaboration
10. Accuracy and attention to detail a must
11. Proven track record of success
12. Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
13. Knowledge of HRIS system
