***This employee will be responsible to cover both Coarsegold, California projects and Mariposa County projects in Arizona. TRAVEL IS REQUIRED.
Position:
The Safety and Training Advisor is a support position within the Compliance and Safety Department, reporting to the Safety Manager. This position supports the operation of project specific compliance and safety for power line and substation construction.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Safety Manager as required
- Conducting daily field observation to identify and mitigate safety concerns
- Onboard new employees
- Build professional relationships with crew members and client project personnel
- Assist safety department with required record keeping
- Manage Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) supplies and distribution
- Keep track of rosters and schedules
- Data Entry
- Promote the safety and health of the workforce
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years related experience (ideally within power line construction)
- OSHA 30 hr Construction certification and/or related safety certification, preferred
- Understanding of Federal and State safety regulations and training requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and experience with web-based tracking software.
- High school graduate and/or GED equivalent
- Must be willing to travel
- Must pass mandatory drug and alcohol screening(s)
WAGE:
$30-40/hr DOE
