• Underwrite, price and negotiate accounts consistent with the quality of the risk and according to the company’s strategy and guidelines
• Responsibilities include production for Management Liability product lines in the Northeast region, including Directors & Officers liability, Employment Practices Liability, Fiduciary Liability, Employed Lawyers E&O, Crime and Kidnap & Ransom
• Engage in marketing efforts and new business development
• Handle new and larger renewal business for wholesale and retail brokers in the Northeast region
• Work with operations, claims, external marketing to build products and contribute to financial performance of the region and the products
• Maintain excellent service standards
• Develop relationships and maintain existing relationships with regional broker base
• Monitor product results and develop ideas to increase results

Person Specification

• B.A./B.S degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management or related degree
• 0-3 years insurance marketing/sales and underwriting experience
• Possess strong analytical and financial analysis skills
• Sales focus or ability required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with presentations and negotiations
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external customers, including brokers
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), Outlook and Internet applications
• Some travel required
• Insurance and/or financial background ideal but not required
• MBA a plus
