Chase Operations & Investigations ("COI") within the JPMC Legal Department was recently established to provide legal support to various Chase Consumer and Community Banking ("CCB") LOBs to achieve the goal of improving the customer! experience and bringing consistency and efficiency within a r! obust control environment across our consumer LOBs. The Consumer Operations Legal Group (“COLG†or the “Group") is a division within COI, providing legal advice and counsel to certain CCB Operations units.
The ideal candidate will support the Group’s legal activities associated with various regulatory related projects.
The role requires significant cross-functional collaboration, including line of business lawyers, relevant Compliance contacts, and business leaders.
The successful candidate will report to the Group's Senior Project Manager and work very closely with different lawyers for the Group to aide in the development of a successful program to ensure the firm stays in compliance with the rapidly-evolving federal, state, and other rules that may apply to our highly regulated industry.
The successful candidate must have strong analytical, quantitative and collaborative skills, be able to work independently and be a true “se! lf-starter.â€
Primary Duties will include:

Assist the Senior Project Manager to build a process for ensuring the various regulatory related projects are closely monitored and managed for regulatory compliance and audit readiness

Manage or assist in managing various projects
·
Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and different attorneys to strategize and spearhead various regulatory requirement related projects
·
Assist with internal organization efforts
·
Developing and implementing work plans
·
Promote more effective use of existing tools and processes
·
Prepare status reports for all activities
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years project management experience
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organization skills
Strong interpersonal skills to build strong, cohesive rela! tionships
Ability to handle multiple tasks and balance competi! ng priorities in an organized fashion to set
appropriate expectations
Must have strong project management skills, including but not limited to, be able to scope projects, create workable project plans and execute on such plans
Ability to prioritize and manage complex scheduling and document tracking
Must be able to
recognize issues that may require escalation and special handling
College degree required
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or comparable working experience required
Experience in the financial services industry preferred but not mandatory
The location of this position is flexible between New York City, NY, Iselin, NJ, or Chicago, IL.
