Our client is currently seeking a IMAGE SCIENTIST.This position provides remote sensing engineering support. The work involves highly complex and technical space-based remote sensing related! products.
Performing Image Quality (IQ) and Image Analysis related evaluations on digital imagery products using 'in-house' tools, including drafting test plans, performing the evaluation, writing the final report and briefing the results to the community.
Investigating, analyzing and providing solutions to highly complex technical problems encountered by engineering services and quality control using the application of engineering standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
Investigating and optimizing advanced image processing / exploitation algorithms.
Required Skills:
a A Bachelors degree in Image Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related technical discipline required with 2+ years related work experience.
a An understanding of image processing and potential impacts to image quality and utility required.
a Experience with ENVI/IDL, Matlab, Unix based scripti! ng, and/or C++ programming.
a A current active TS/SCI! Clearance is required.
Desired Skills:
a Education and experience in a remote sensing, imaging science and/or image processing.
a Experience with ENVI/IDL, Matlab, Unix based scripting, and/or C++ programming.
a Experience with image compression algorithms.
a Ability to develop and utilize image processing algorithms.
a Experience with design of multi-variable experiments and related statistical data analysis.
a Experience with imaging system performance prediction modeling and metrics.
a Experience with Advanced Geospatial Intelligence (AGI).
a Experience with Imagery utility and psychophysical evaluations and modeling.
a Experience with analysis, simulation, and modeling of Visible and IR electro-optical (EO) systems.
