Post by Jobing - Reference Code: 13022080 Location: New York, NY, USA Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Description The Escrow Agent Team in Citi Private Ba! nkâs Preferred Custody Services business has an immediate opening for a Product Specialist. This highly motivated, proactive, responsible and reliable individual will work closely with the CPB Escrow Team comprised of two Directors, one Senior Vice President and one Account Officer to market, deliver, and service the CPB Escrow Agent product to clients nationwide. This position reports directly to the Escrow Team Product Manager and oversees a junior officer on the team. Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to) the following: Working closely with all members of the Escrow Team, assist with the marketing, delivery, administration and servicing of the Escrow Agent Product to Private Bank clients nationwide.Assist Private Bankers located throughout the US with identifying and closing new escrow agent business opportunities.
This includes participating in sales calls, presentations and conference calls as necessary.Oversee account openings ! and closings with junior team member; provide support for docu! mentation completeness and accuracy. Understand the risks of the escrow agent product.Oversee / monitor all daily transactions for the Escrow Team, including trading activity, wire transfers, cash management, foreign currency transactions, overdrafts, maintenance requested, check deposits, and cash transfers.Manage weekly maturities of fixed income securities across all escrow accounts totaling approximately $5 to $6 billion face amount per annum; handle trade processing, set up, and settlement; and coordinate closely with the Private Bankâs Trading Desk and Citi Investment Management. Prepare, maintain and update spreadsheets, calculations, reports and/or special documentation required for specific transactions (complexity can vary from deal to deal).Review of escrow agreements / contracts to determine if certain transactions are permissible. Understand requirements and monitor activity for specific Escrow accounts to ensure Citibank's duties and responsibilities are fol! lowed.Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory policies and requirements of the Private Bank.Resolve client inquiries and issues on a timely basis and as accurately as possible through effective and efficient use of Private Bank resources.Direct contact with clients and their attorneys, accountants, third party vendors, representatives, etc.Interaction with Private Bankers, Banker Associates, Service Officers, CPB Internal Legal Counsel and other internal constituents as necessary.Occasional domestic travel required.
Qualifications College degreeApproximately 6/7 years experience working in the financial services industry; prior experience with escrow transactions and settlement funds is preferred.Familiarity with the securities industry â" specifically, securities movements, fixed income securities and deposit products.Strategic focus: strong candidates will exhibit an ability to proactively think âout of the boxâ and to creatively craft solutions to m! eet client needs. All transactions are different and clients constantly! seek a âCiti solutionâ for their endeavors.Technical skills: thorough knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook required. Knowledge of Microsoft Access helpful, but not essential.Project management skills: candidate must be highly organized and efficient; ability to effectively multiâ"task and adhere to daily time sensitive deadlines is critical.Analytical skills: the ability to read, comprehend and interpret legal documents and contracts governing escrow accounts is required.Negotiating skills: experience with negotiating contracts or documents related to escrow accounts is helpful.This position requires heavy client contact; strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills are essential.Excellent oral and written communication skills
