Description: LAW DEPARTMENT is currently seeking to employ ASSISTANT CORPORATION COUNSEL right now, this vacancy will be placed in New York. Attorneys in this Division will be responsible for the final drafting and review of all bills in the legislative package presented by the Mayor to the State Legislature, and performs ! a similar function with respect to local legislation. Members of the division work closely with the Mayor's Washington, Albany and local offices of Legislative Affairs, seeking the enactment of federal, state and local legislation. Attorney will draft, review and negotiate local and state legislation, and review and revise proposed agency rules; work with and attend meetings with clients to ensure legal soundness of proposed initiatives; represent the Law Department on administrative task forces.
Minimum Qual Requirements
Requirements for this intellectually challenging and high-profile position include two years of legal experience and Admission to the NYS Bar
