We have an opening at a midtown NYC law firm for a legal secretary, working for partners and associates in litigation. This is a temp-to-hire position.
MUST have litigation! experience.
Responsibilities:
- Typing and editing legal documents
- Answering busy telephones
- Maintaining attorney diaries, scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements
- Preparing correspondence, expense reports, and other general administrative duties
- Flexible to work overtime if needed
- Minimum of 5 years of legal/administrative assistant experience in a law firm environment in litigation
- Excellent computer skills, including proficient knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications; TOCs, TOAs and styles in Word
- Professional demeanor, excellent phone manner, solid communication skills
- Ability to interact with high level attorneys and clients
- Strong multi-tasking skills, organized, ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
