Develops and recommends strategies to maximize recovery and reduce losses and ensure effective restructuring, reco! very or charge-off of adversely graded loans. Works with officials of lending and borrowing institutions to better secure collateral, equity or other assets of the borrower. Engages in other activities designed to preserve the loan principal, collect interest as possible, or charge-off the loan if appropriate.
Review and analyze assigned files to determine enhanced collection strategy to employ.
Review of contracts to identify bankrupt and non bankrupt parties
Continue collection efforts for all non bankrupt parties
Review bankruptcy plans and other bankruptcy court documents to identify U.S. Bank treatment
Bankruptcy case review in PACER (online bankruptcy docket) for updated bankruptcy case statuses
Appropriate actions could include placement with either Internal or External Legal counsel to proceed with legal action, Collection Agency, establishment of direct debtor Workout Repayment Plans, or general collection activ! ities to cure delinquency and return to the Core Collections g! roup
Maintain and follow-up of all assigned files on regular basis and maintain adequate records of all interactions within the systems of record
Timely and accurately responding to discovery requests, and assisting in the preparing of witnesses for depositions, trials and mediations (including potential participation as a witness at any of these foregoing mentioned events)
Responsible for maintaining bad debt recovery projections for assigned files
Prepare for and provide status updates through Portfolio Reviews and weekly Forecasting meetings; completion of all necessary charge-off approval request forms
Ensure regulatory compliance in all aspects of managing assigned accounts
Performance of internal audit functions and data entry of asset management involvement, includes Compliance functions such as SCRA monitoring and Universal Tracking Log requirements
Provide support to the Core Collections group by consul! ting on collection strategy, call placement, and reviewing problematic files that may require further action, up to and including legal involvement
Review attorney invoices for accuracy and prepare for submission for approval
Processing of cash received, including documentation within the system of record, recommendation of cash adjustments and any necessary fee waivers

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- One to three years of experience in lending/account management activities
- Good working knowledge of credit legal principles, accounting, economics, and financial statement analysis
- Some knowledge of lending interest rates, loan terms and conditions, and real estate methodologies
- Good negotiation skills
- W! ell-developed customer service/relations skills
- Effective inte! rpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
