Gather all appropriate documentation that is necessar! y for each individual loan based on loan type, MI, investor, Federal, State and local jurisdiction requirements. Review all documentation to ensure proper processing for each step in the default process including collection activity (attempts, contacts and skip tracing), proper letters were sent, Loss Mitigation was solicited timely and the Notice of Intent to foreclosure was sent proper. Work closely with DLD and our foreclosure attorney's to submit the documentation packet timely in order to meet the first phase of the foreclosure timeline. Employees are required to successfully complete annual mandatory training requirements and department specific training, as defined by management. Responsibilities include: * Review assigned delinquent loans for eligibility to submit to foreclosure * Gather all appropriate documentation as necessary. * Review all documentation in the Foreclosure Referral System to ensure all documentation and collection efforts were appropriate. * Clea! r all exceptions that would prevent the loan from moving forwa! rd to foreclosure * Approve the loan packet for foreclosure and forward to the assigned foreclosure attorney
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Three years mortgage servicing experience with a minimum of at least two years in a collections or default resolution role required.
- Knowledge of financial and mortgage terminology required.
- Strong understanding of investor (GSE) and State servicing guidelines required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Self-motivated to work independently to meet standards of quality and productivity.
- Must be assertive while displaying good judgment, problem solving, and decision making abilities.
- Strong PC skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
