Technical Advisor Program: The firm has a well established program in Boston and New York in which we hire individuals with Ph.D. degrees in the biological and chemical sciences who are interested in the field of patent law. Technical advisors help prepare and prosecute patent applications before the U.S. and foreign patent offices, and assist attorneys in technical matters relating to our practice, including patentability and freedom to operate analyses, counseling, licensing and litigation. After two years of full-time employment as a technical advisor, an individual in the program enters law school (in the Boston or New York City area) and continues working at the firm while attending law school. First year compensation prior to law school is $112,500. All technical advisors/law students receive full law school tuition as well as reimbursement for expenses related to the Patent Bar exam. Technical advisors receive medical benefits and a generous amount of annual vacation time. At the completion of law school, an individual who has done well in the program and in law school will be considered for employment as an associate attorney. This is an Equal Employment Opportunity.
