Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Proofreader to join our team. As a Proofreader, your primary responsibility will be the review and markup of safety documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to established guidelines. Your meticulous approach, attention to detail and strong command of language will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and quality of our safety documentation. Secondary responsibilities include providing production assistance when workload permits. This position is full-time, with profit sharing, a complete benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, Life/AD&D, STD & LTD, as well as 401k and paid time off. This is an hourly position with rate commensurate with experience.
Expectations and Responsibilities
- Document review and markup of text and graphics.
- Verify document accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with writers and subject matter experts.
- Meet deadlines and manage multiple proofreading projects simultaneously.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Provide production assistance.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as a proofreader.
- Excellent command of written English.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors quickly and accurately and convey them concisely to coworkers.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to provide clear and constructive feedback.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain detailed records of proofreading changes.
- Ability to adapt to different methods of working and evolving processes.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
