Our Sales Representatives serve as our primary liaison to our retail clients. Sales Representatives are responsible for prospecting and closing new business via cold-calling, in-store presentations, and participation in industry trade shows and networking events. You will also be responsible for understanding our company’s product offerings as well as competitive products. You will nurture client relationships, while updating and upselling them on new opportunities to ensure they have the best experience possible. Ideal candidates are driven, ambitious self-starters.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Prospect new accounts using state and local licensing databases, social media, and other online tools.
  • Set up meetings with dispensary purchasing managers via cold-calling, email, and social media outreach.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Visit dispensaries daily to drop off samples, understand customer pain points and desires, and make sales presentations.
  • Use a customer-focused, consultative sales process to educate prospects on what products will best fit their needs.
  • Follow-up with prospective accounts via phone, email, and SMS to stay top of mind and close new business.
  • Participate in on-site patient appreciation days, budtender education events, hosted company parties, networking mixers, and other events on a regular basis.
  • Respond to phone and email inquiries in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge on our full product catalog as well as the latest trends in the cannabis industry.
  • Relay feedback from customers to the rest of the team on a regular basis.
  • Maintain customer databases and ensure that all information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Confirm order details with clients to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor the status of deliveries and stay in regular communication with clients, account management, and warehouse fulfillment staff to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Reach out to clients on an as-needed basis to inform them about new products, special delivery schedules, and other important updates.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-year prior cannabis sales experience with account management required.
  • Proven track record of developing a strategic sales strategy, building new business, and meeting/exceeding quotas.
  • Prior experience with the medical and recreational marijuana industry preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills a must.
  • Responsibility & accountability (you must take ownership of your accounts and all issues related to them).
  • Excellent attention to detail (this role will require important data entry, so accuracy is critical).
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, including a patient attitude, a friendly disposition, and a willingness to go the extra mile for our customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • This job requires driving so must be able to meet all licensing and insurance requirements.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient technical skills including use of MS Office, Google Drive, and CRM software.
  • A team spirit and helpful attitude.
Compensation + Benefits:

  • California $65,000/annually + Commission

  • Benefit packages include medical, dental, vision, Life/AD&D,401K Match, paid time off, and holidays.

Please note that the regulations and laws of the State require persons working onsite at a cannabis facility to be at least 21 years of age.
