Allied Universal® is looking to hire a Billing Specialist. The Billing Specialist will be working to ensure billing accuracy, which consist of invoices, certified payroll reports and sign-in sheets. Emphasis on quality control by ensuring that hours are accurate and balance, Prevailing Wage rates and Supplemental Benefit rates are accurate, and Bill Rates are accurate. Distribute accurate billing packages to clients timely and follow-up with clients regarding payment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for reviewing and submitting all special billing requirements as per the contractual agreement which includes direct communication with the customers invoice process teams and authorized approvers
  • Ensure all billing corrections are submitted via Courier for processing with approvals from the field
  • Review and reconcile grouped billing for accuracy and ensure all supporting information is attached
  • Review and submit the alarm/patrol invoices to ensure all the required information is accurate and supporting backup documentation is attached
  • Review and reconcile ad hoc invoices to ensure they are invoiced separately and has all the required information and supporting documents attached
  • Purchase Order (PO) management for all special billing customers
  • Work with the field to resolve any billing discrepancies for specific customers
  • Work with accounts receivable to resolve any past due invoices or disputes
  • Work with the US Shared Services team to ensure billing is completed timely and accurately
  • Billing maintenance such as PO updates and mailstop updates for specific customers
  • Portal invoice entry

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is a plus.
  • Advance knowledge in Microsoft Excel
  • 1 or more years of prior billing experience and a good working knowledge of basic accounting concepts are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines with time-sensitive data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology.
  • Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion. Must have proven ability to maintain correspondence, discussions and materials in strictest confidence. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients, while functioning as a team player required.
