Job Summary/Scope:
The Senior Marketing and Business Development Manager is responsible for the full range of Firm marketing and business development activities for the offices assigned, as well as coaching and support o! f other Firm marketing and business development personnel as
determined by the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). This includes attracting legal business from existing and potential clients, coaching, management of firm marketing and business

development processes, conducting client interviews, and a high level of attorney and leadership interaction. This position will oversee direct reports that are part of the Firm's marketing department.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•

Develops and supports Firm and office initiatives designed to expand client relationships and increase revenues, including client teams, client interviews, and attorney coaching.

  • Coaches and counsels attorneys in key business development areas.
  • Coordinates Requests for Proposal, Statements of Qualification, Firm brochures and other collateral related to marketing and business development activities and events.
  • Manages marketing personnel in the regional offices assigned to ensure efficien! t delivery of firm resources to attorneys.
  • Works with internal and external public relations, communications and media resources.
  • Manages firm events and other client-facing activities, both on and off-site.
  • Provides regular feedback and reporting as required to the CMO and Director.
  • Manages relationship with assigned CSG, working with the CSG leader to develop goals, objectives, and strategies for developing business and tracking activities.
  • Coordinates and implements Firm and local planning and budgeting efforts for marketing and business development initiatives.
Project Management

  • Manages internal and external events in conjunction with other Marketing personnel including, but not limited to, seminars, conferences, dinners or other functions and business development initiatives arising out of such events.
  • Works with the design team to develop collateral materials such as brochures and Powe! rPoint presentations, sharing production roles as necessary.
  • M! aintains involvement in various projects related to firmwide marketing and business development initiatives.
Essential Job Specifications/Qualifications:
•

Proven ability to make presentations and to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.

  • Proven project management skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage large amounts of data, hard copy and electronic, details, plans, and give direction to individuals to accomplish goals.
  • Ability to deal professionally with all internal and external clients on all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with changing work priorities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency working with databases and web sites data.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 20 times per year if required.
  • Ability to work varying hours as well as some evenings and weekends as needed! .
  • Requires the ability to regularly report to work on the days and times scheduled.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations
  • Masters degree a plus
  • Minimum five years prior law firm, CPA or other professional services marketing experience.
