Our commercial data modules are targeted to payers, third party administrators, self-insured employers and consultants and consist of licensed benchmarking databases and tools that can be used to assist in the establishment of out-of-network reimbursement rates and other strategic analyses. Summary ! of Position
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a! ccounting and bookkeeping support activity . The ideal candidate must possess a very strong work ethic and ability to work with tight deadlines.
Primary R esponsibilities :
General accounts receivable functions
- Assist with the preparation and mailing of customer invoices
- Prepare cash receipt log and coordinate deposit activities
- Perform all necessary account, bank and other reconciliations
- Monitor customer accounts for non - payment and delayed payment
- Check, verify and process invoices
- Prepare all accounts payable checks for payment on a due-date basis
- Sort, code and enter accounts payable data
- Analyze discrepancies and unpaid invoices
- Maintain vendor files
- Collect, confirm and process timesheets
- General support functions
- Assist in month end reporting! procedures
- Find and use accounting data to resolve accounting problems and discrepancies
- Track and audit petty cash
- Review and organized employee expense reports
- Perform filing and general administrative tasks
- Liaise with other departments/customers/vendors
- Prepare transactions for posting to journals and ledgers including preparation of revenue recognition and fixed asset schedules
- 2-3 years experience in clerical accounting
- Associate degree in business or accounting preferred
- Knowledge of ge nerally accepted accounting principles and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A good work ethic accompanied by an ever-positive, get-it-done attitude.
- Knowledge of Quickbooks preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
