The New York County District Attorney's Office (DANY) has an immediate opening for a Reentry Resource Specialist in its Reentry and Juvenile Justice Unit. The Office sees effecti! ve reentry options and successful completion of Parole supervision as a key factor in reducing recidivism and increasing public safety. The Office works closely with Reentry service providers, the New York State Division of Parole and other law enforcement agencies to create and implement effective Reentry Initiatives.
The Reentry Resource Specialist for the Operation Gun Stop program will perform the following responsibilities:
Create a detailed list of all reentry programs and alternative to incarceration programs.
Liaise between the District Attorney's Office, Department of Corrections & Parole, and Reentry agencies to ensure forum participants are connecting with appropriate services.
Work with the Reentry Coordinator to track and monitor outcomes.
Cover the Parole Information Line and assist Parole Officers and Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs) in obtaining case related information.
Work with the coordinator to track and prepare monthly report! s on arrests of parolees in Manhattan and monitor arrests and ! prepare reports on arrests and social service follow-up of Offender Notification Participants and coordinate and track recommendations made by ADAs regarding special parole conditions for parolees being tracked by the Crime Strategies Unit.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required.
Excellent computer skills including internet search capability required.
Working knowledge of DANY and New York State court systems preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required; resourcefulness, initiative and good judgment essential.
Must possess a readiness to learn and adapt to rapid changes in technology.
Bilingual Spanish speaking ability a plus.
