Summary:
The Fiduciary Advisor is responsible for building, cultivating and retaining client relationships. Also administers client accounts in accordance with terms specified in trust documents and in accordance with client objectives. Ensures high quality, pe! rsonalized service to clients, trustees, and related parties. ! Maintains the highest standards of ethical conduct and compliance with all applicable laws.
Additionally, the FA consults with clients on their financial situation, including but not limited to investment management, cash flow, retirement, education, charitable giving, and estate planning.
Description:
- Maintains contact with clients, clientsâ attorneys, other administrators and staff, trustees, beneficiaries, investment brokers and advisors, custodial banks, tax accountants, federal and state tax agencies and others as necessary in order to ensure the administration of accounts according to company policy and client service standards
- Analyzes client account objectives and trust instruments in order to plan overall trust account and investment account cash management strategy; prepares income projections, accruals and market value comparisons
- Working closely with the Managing Director, oversees process to open and clo! se client accounts
- Responds to client inquiries and follows up with related transactions, reports, and/or correspondence
- Responsible to cultivate and develop client relationships
- When appropriate, meets with clients and prospects to gather client information to develop a financial plan, including cash flow analysis and retirement planning services. Other types of planning may be required, i.e. education funding, charitable giving, etc.
- Ability to uncover opportunities that lead to the growth of existing clientâs assets
- Consults with internal and external advisors regarding ongoing servicing of client accounts; takes lead on providing annual administrative review
- Consults with Private Client Advisor on new business opportunities and participates in sales efforts
- Develops and maintains high level of knowledge of financial planning and investment disciplines
- Completes and maintains trust summaries Oversee the performance of the Client Service Officer
- Bachelorsâ degree, or in lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience
- Three or more years in providing fiduciary services and/or of providing wealth management and financial planning services to HNW and UHNW clients
- Comprehensive understanding of trust accounting and securities transactions
- Skilled in Microsoft Office product suite and able to rapidly learn new software applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build a significant level of trust with clients and their advisors
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines while maintaining high quality, personalized service to clients
- Attention to detail and follow through
- Self-confidence and a proven ability to work well with highly capable and successful individuals
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment; effectively delegates tasks or pr! ojects; uses appropriate influence to inspire and guide individuals toward goal achievement
- Strong organization and multi-tasking skills in addition to ability to follow-through and bring work to completion; understands importance of deadlines
- Bachelorâs degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- CFP and/or CTFA designation or MBA preferred
