There are a large number of documents that need to be reviewed in a matter concerning the FDI! C and many of the large banks. It is plaintiff side MBS case; the banks are the defendants and the FDIC is bringing the suit… the contract attorneys we place will be on the side of the FDIC.
The ideal candidates will have a knowledge of finance and how mortgage-backed securities work, either through working plaintiff-side on a previous matter, having a background in finance, or via their personal interest.
The review is to start ASAP and will continue to roll people onto the project so we are always looking for recruits who are interested in working on this matter. There will also be SARs documents as well as additional priv logging so candidates should have priv review experience.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Rate: $40 FLAT, 40 hours per week (no OT)
You MUST be an Admitted Attorney (can be admitted anywhere in the US)
Location: midtown Manhattan
CONFLICTS :
Defense side MBS cases in the last 5 years ALL the big ban! ks (JPMC, BOA, Morgan Stanley, AIG, Wells Fargo, etc…) Cases! adverse to the FDIC
This review will be hosted by Discovery Management at Update Legal so there are a couple of policies the candidates will need to be comfortable with. There are NO cell phones allowed in the review space. There are cell phone lockers located right outside of the room where candidates leave their phones and then can come out and check at their leisure in the hallway. There is also NO internet access on the review tools however, directly outside the review room is an email station where candidates may check their email.
