Position Description:
We have
an exciting opportunity for a Japanese Translators in New York, NY.
Responsibilities:
Japanese translators are needed for a
long-term assignment to perform document review in a computerized document
review system. The translators must be available full-time, and willing to
perform some travel.
Additionally, the translators will
need to participate in Grand Jury sessions and sign confidentiality statements
in regard to their work. At GJ sessions, the person will ! be expected to
interpret dialogue between a witness and at! torneys. Legal experience not necessary, but must be
comfortable using databases. Specific
software training will be provided. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience with translation of
Japanese language documents required.
Must pass check of potential
conflicts.
Must be a US Citizen and able to
obtain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Recent DOJ clearance. Experience in
a legal environment. Ability to quickly understand key concepts in both
Japanese and English language. Ability
to quickly provide feedback on document review progress and findings. Ability to work independently and as part of
a Team.
