Duties: Provides recruiting support for R&D and Manufacturing operations both for regular and contingency workforce. Assess potential applicant skills! sets against the needs of the business. Schedule and participate in face-to-face interviews. Participate and facilitate the candidate selection process. Work with hiring business and candidate to negotiate . offers. Coordinate new hire orientation. Maintain database to track recruitment process Handles and responds to routine inquiries regarding policies and procedures for management and bargaining unit. Assists with short term disability and FMLA cases, coordinate sreturn to work with Occupational Health in North Wales Acts as liaison with employees for payroll and benefits inquiries. Works with Payroll department on pay issues/discrepancies. Assists in exit interview process â€" schedules meetings, prepares benefits separation letters, notifies Security and IT. Creates and maintains numerous Human Resources files and databases - such as ICIMS, such as disciplinary log, STD/FMLA log, and turnover log. Assists in following up on relocation-related issues Process invoices, ! address issues with cafeteria services as they arise, - , main! tain HR-related databases Provides Human Resources guidance and support to Operations and R&D employees in Pomona, NY as well as occasional support at our Woodcliff Lake, NJ location. Advises employee and management on the interpretation of policies, programs and procedures. May propose improvement to policies, programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness and delivery of HR programs and services. Responsible for the day-to-day administrative functions and project support and ensure timely completion of projects. Resolves routine and complex inquiries for bargaining unit and non-bargaining unit employees regarding payroll, benefits, etc.
Qualifications:
BS Degree in related field and 5+ years progressive human resources experience in the following areas: in full cycle recruitment and selection, and employee/labor relations, preferably within a manufacturing or research environment Able to diagnose and successfully handle moderately complex employ! ee relations issues utilizing effective conflict resolution skills. Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including strong word processing and spreadsheet skills. Experience with applicant tracking systems. Able to effectively manage multiple and sometimes changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Able to work with minimum supervision Proficient in computer programs. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization Ability to handle employee information professionally and confidentially
