Reports to: Account Director
Location: Ogilvy Action , New York, NY

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Primarily resp! onsible for working closely
with Account Director to plan, implement and manage national and shopper
marketing programs including customer-specific activation plans and tactics for mass
and key regional grocery accounts
Serve as a pivotal member
of the account team to ensure we all work together in an efficient, smart and
collaborative manner with an eye towards growth and adding value to our
client’s business everyday
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Effectively manage and
implement marketing program details to drive growth of client’s business in an
efficient, organized manner and help build and maintain a strong agency-client
relationship

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Lead and maintain internal and
client weekly status reports, status meetings and timelines to track the
progress of all project details on a day-to-day basis
Maintain a
thorough working knowledge of all agency systems, production processe! s and
resources
Lead and manage the development
an! d execution of all programming elements for national, local and/or
customer-specific initiatives such as IRCs, FSIs, digital coupons,
Catalina, direct mail, tear pads, POS, loyalty programs, in-store radio
and/or TV, demos, sponsorships, etc.
Review all
agency work prior to submitting to client for review and secure all
necessary client approvals
Be a sound
judge of creative work and able to help guide its development both internally
and with the client, based on the creative brief, business objectives and
factual accuracy
Communicate
all client feedback in a clear, concise and timely manner to creative and
production teams
Analyze
program results to ensure programs deliver desired results and meet client
objectives (with support from NY analytics team and Account Director) TEAM MANAGEMENT

Develop positive, productive
and respectful relationships with clients, agency partners and Internal
teams!
Lead and own
project flow and communications from creative briefing through production,
while maintaining a can-do, positive team attitude especially when issues
and challenges arise
Contribute to team effort by
assisting co-workers, sharing learnings, participating in meetings, preparing
reports, and improving internal processes
Build and
maintain external vendor relations by providing clear direction, guidance
and information; negotiate costs and resolve issues
Prepare client presentations and
reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
Assist in driving on-going
opportunities with client team and vendors to maintain and grow agency’s
position/role (POVs, etc.)
Develop
in-depth understanding of clients’ and retailers’ businessesthrough a
combination of reading trade publications, online research, industry news,
competitive data, store visits, etc., and share find! ings
Work with
Account Director to help develop and present str! ategic plans and creative to
the client FISCAL MANAGEMENT
Establish
program budgets and estimates, track expenses, and manage on-going fiscal
reporting of all projects
Develop a deep understanding
and working knowledge of agency and client financial systems and processes
On-going fiscal management and reporting
including job numbers, estimate development, P.O.’s & rate cards, invoices,
and budget status reports
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Minimum of 3-5 years account and/or project management experience with
at least one year as an Account Executive.
Possess a solid understanding of brand management, advertising and
communications, consumer promotions, and shopper marketing. Ideally has an understanding of key customer
accounts such as Walmart; Kroger; SuperValu; Safeway, and other regional
retailer accounts
Proven working knowledge of retail
promotions, consumer offers, and marketing tactics.
Excellent ora! l, written and
presentation skills; must be proficient
in Excel and PPT
Proven project management and
organizational skills with ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced, changing and demanding environment.
