Description: Special Counsel is employing Trusts & Estates Paralegal right now, this occupation will be presented in New York. Our client, a large, international law firm, is looking to add a trusts & estates paralegal to their NYC office. Must have 3+ years experience working as a trusts & estates paralegal. Res! ponsibilities will include drafting petitions and the supporting documents for probate, ancillary probate, administration, accounting, advance payment of commissions, ex parte payment of legal fees, appointment of a trustee and request of a trustee to resign; assisting attorneys in searching for missing heirs and beneficiaries; going to various Surrogates Courts to file Wills, petitions and other papers; assisting fiduciary accountants in obtaining values for estate tax purposes and collecting information for estate tax audits; and preparing applications for federal and state releases of estate tax liens. Bachelor’s degree required.
