Job
- Responsible for the overall direction and supervision of hospice clinical services
- Establishes, implements, and evaluates goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy
- Serves on the Senior Management Team and oversees delivery of patient care services, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
1. Registered Nurse (RN) currently licensed in New York State.
2. BSN required or commensurate experience; Master’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration or similar discipline recommended.
3. Minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of home care or hospice experience required. Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in home care or hospice required.
4. Demonstrated competence in nursing supervision, quality management and health car! e management required.
5. Knowledge of the regulatory and ! accreditation processes (CHAP, NYSDOH, CMS) required.
6. Demonstrated commitment to the Hospice philosophy of care.
7. Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Care Nursing required or must be obtained within the first six (6) months of employment.
8. Knowledge of computer operation and computer generated clinical records experience required.
9. Unless ALL assigned patients can be served by using public transportation, must have reliable automobile, valid driver’s license, and the minimum state required liability automobile insurance.
