Arbor Realty Trust, Inc., is a real estate investment trust, (REIT), which was formed to invest in mortgage-related securities, real estate-! related bridge and mezzanine loans, junior participating interests in first mortgages, preferred and direct equity investments and in limited cases, discounted mortgage notes and other real estate related assets. Arbor’s headquarters in Uniondale has an immediate opening for an Junior Asset Management Professional. This individual will be responsible for the management of assets in Arbor Realty Trust’s (ART) loan portfolio. Primary responsibilities include property valuation including market analysis and research, assisting in the monthly financial analysis of the portfolio and properties including operating, budget and variance review, loan administration and borrower support, workout and foreclosure analysis, review and analysis of leases, appraisals and engineering reports, and review of monthly billings. Other responsibilities include coord! ination of new loan activity with underwriters, attorneys, acc! ounting and servicing.
Qualified candidates must have a strong knowledge of real estate markets with a particular emphasis on office, retail, multi-family, condominium and hospitality sectors and a minimum of 3-5 years asset management experience with an emphasis on risk/financial analysis, valuations, relationship management, workouts, capital markets, and rehabilitation.
The Asset Management Professional should have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate and/or Accounting, Master’s degree preferred. Applicants must possess an excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word and ARGUS. Strong financial, analytical, organizational, written, oral communication, project management, and multi-tasking skills are necessary. The ideal candidate will have the ability to “think outside the box†and be able to present ideas in a clear and concise manner, as well as have the ability to train analytical staff.
