Major Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) located in New York City is currently seeking (2) individuals for their expanding Commercial R! eal Estate Mortgage area.
The main function of this position will be the overall analysis, underwriting, and presentation of potential transactions. The Underwriter will be responsible for property valuation as well as review and analysis of historic operations, commercial leases, appraisals, environmental reports and engineering reports for various asset types including multi -family, office, retail, industrial and hospitality. Responsibilities also include completion of credit memos for senior management review, coordination of new loan activity with attorneys and other various departments and site inspections.
Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree, in Finance or related and 3+ years experience in Commercial Real Estate Underwriting. Previous experience in risk/financial analysis, valuations, workouts, capital markets and rehabilitation is a plus. Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Office and possess excellent financial, analytical, c! ommunication, project management and multi -tasking skills.
