Our digital media trading desk, BuyerBase, is a data-driven ad targeting platform that collects, scores and organizes billions of buying signals per month from 40 million tech buyers visiting 150 sites, and then reaches them with relevant ads across the web on all devices. We are Looking for an experienced trademark paralegal to assist on a contract basis working part time (10-30 hours per week depending on workload) and for at least one or two months.
Responsibilities:
? Organize trademark filings, and assist with assignments/correcting registered owner. ? Review and organize hard copy files and online database. ? Coordinate efforts with outside counsel to correct and update international trademark records. ? Maintain hard and electronic files for all trademark matters ? Prepare and file all documents in connection with updating trademark oppositions and cancellation actions. ? Verify foreign filing requirements and oversee the timely filing of formal documents. ? Perform preliminary trademark clearance searches ? Assist with all aspects of trademark prosecution, trademark opposition and possible infringement matters ? Assist in the preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign trademark cases. ? Assist attorneys in the maintenance of foreign trademark cases including prosecution of applications and oppositions. ? Prepare foreign filing instruction letters. ? Review and analyze correspondence from foreign associates, and communicate with attorneys and clients throughout the entire prosecution of an application as well as during the maintenance of the foreign registration. ? Compile and prepare evidence in support of pending opposition/cancellation proceedings including advertisements, invoices, declarations, affidavits, etc. ? Prepare charts and reports outlining the status of foreign trademarks
Desired Skills and Experience:
? 2 ? 3 years of working in house. ? Experience with US and foreign trademark filings, assignments and organization. ? Must be detailed oriented ? Proficient in excel ? Experienced with an online Trademark database service
