Basic Job Functions:
- Move racks and tubes for loading in Shipping Department using a sit-down forklift.
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
- Transport raw materials to production workstations.
- Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs; keep track of inventory.
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years operating a sit-down forklift.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of previous operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment.
- Bilingual - English and Spanish-language.
