Pro Bono Manager

We seek a dynamic Pro Bono Manager who will serve as a key liaison between inMotion and pro bono attorneys at major law firms who support our mission. A Juris Doctor degree is required. A background in domestic violenc! e, public interest law, immigration, family and/or matrimonial law is helpful. Experience coordinating pro bono programs and/or major law firm experience is a plus. Supervisory or management experience is required. Fluency in Spanish is helpful but not required. We value strong organizational, inter-personal, communication, writing and computer skills.
Responsibilities: The pro bono manager will:
Supervise the work of inMotion's pro bono coordinators and intake specialists
Support, strengthen and enhance inMotion's relationships with major law firms and their participation in the pro bono program
Assist the Senior Director of Legal Services in developing and implementing strategies for improving the pro bono program
Take the lead in all aspects of organizing and implementing lawyer recruitment and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) trainings
Ensure compliance with state CLE provider requirements
Oversee client i! ntake
Assist in ensuring that case placement and depa! rtment goals are met
Recruit volunteer attorneys to work on pro bono cases including drafting appeals and case digests
Identify and cultivate new law firm relationships as well as steward and strengthen existing relationships
Assist in the preparation of reports to funders
Assist in program assessment
Assist with pro bono recognition events
Maintain a small caseload of in-house clients and/or supervise staff and interns on client matters
