Statebridge (a residential mortgage servicer) is hiring a results-oriented, operations asset coordinator to work on-site at a hedge fund client’s (“Clientâ€! ) offices in New York. The junior asset manager will be working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with the primary role of managing various foreclosure and asset management processes with respect to the residential foreclosure files in the Client’s portfolio.
The asset coordinator will be fully dedicated to the Client’s portfolio and will be responsible for working with both the Client’s asset management team and Statebridge foreclosure team in Denver to manage (i) a pool of performing and non-performing real estate assets and (ii) foreclosure processes (e.g. monitor foreclosure loans and ensure foreclosure actions are processed in a timely manner and in compliance with applicable laws and Client guidelines).
Ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who is highly responsive and able to think outside of the box in order to get things done as efficiently as possible. Excellent communication [and critical analysis] skills are a must.
Re! sponsibilities:
The Asset Coordinator will be responsi! ble for assisting the Portfolio Managers in maximizing the return of a portfolio of residential real estate assets.
Manage all daily, weekly and monthly reports as assigned, including, but not limited to, timely status reporting, disposition monitoring and ad-hoc reporting as requested;
Work closely with the Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Loan Administration, REO and Accounting departments within the organization;
Ensure Client timelines are met by creatively addressing day-to-day issues, proactively processing action items (e.g. process documents, respond to attorney/borrower/asset manager requests) and be responsive to alerts.
Generate foreclosure referral packets on all qualifying accounts; locate all necessary mortgage documentation in imaging in order to assemble packets and provide information relevant to the status of the account.
Manage attorneys to ensure foreclosure process is consistently progressing, monitor status of files! and regularly communicate status to Client asset management team and Statebridge foreclosure team
Update databases to ensure that information (e.g. actions taken, correspondence, status) is accurate, complete, and accessible; maintain records and files; provide formal and informal reports to Client asset management team and Statebridge foreclosure team
Ensure the required notices (e.g., notices of default, notices of acceleration) and related motions are prepared, received, and mailed in accordance with guidelines.
