Major not-for-profit urban development corporation seeks detail-oriented, self-motivated attorney to join its Legal Department. Duties include providing legal counsel to NYCEDC.
Qualific! ations:
- At least three years of post-law school experience is required.
- Experience with CDBG funds, real estate transactions, tax-exempt financing and/or not-for-profit corporate matters is a plus.
- Admission to practice law in New York is strongly preferred.
- New York City residence is required within 180 days of hire.
The Legal Department provides advice and representation on municipal bond financings, tax benefit agreements, real estate development activities (including land sales and leases), construction projects, corporate matters and litigation, interacting with private companies, City, State and federal agencies and the Port Authority.
