We are hiring an attorney on either full time or part time basis, ideally with regulatory, financial services or private equity experience. The internship might ! lead to full time employment.
Responsibilities
Provides guidance on the firms investor relations and other disclosure activities.
Ensures compliance with FINRA rules and regulations.
Develop defenses to allegations for successful resolution of cases.
Responsible for the provision of legal and compliance services to the firm
Will litigate in New York State and Federal Courts, supervise outside counsel litigating on the firms behalf and provide legal advice on broad range of potential or actual disputes relating to securities businesses, and in particular, matters relating to mortgage backed securities.
Requirements:
Experienced in New York State and Federal Courts, with significant experience in financial services industries disputes
Knowledge of complex financial products and services
Knowledge of current developments in securities, derivatives and commercial law and in State and Federal court practice
The ability! to communicate efficiently to both legal and non-legal profes! sionals
The ability to build and maintain good working client relationships
Collegial team player
Major Law Firm experience a plus
JD degree and member of the New York bar
Required experience: 0 - 2 years
Minimum required education: Master's Degree
