Position Summary:
The Manager of Legal Personnel will have firm-wide responsibility for helping to support the Legal Personnel and Professional Development Department. This highly visible role is responsible for assisting both the Director and Associate Director of the
department in managing all aspects of the Legal Personnel Department functions, including the evaluation process and professional development initiatives for all associates firm wide. The Manager will be a visible part of the Firm cultur! e and a clear resource
for all associates. The hours ar! e M-F 9:30 a.m. â€" 5:30 p.m., but flexibility to work additional hours is required.

Responsibilities/Duties

Support the Director and Associate Director on incoming associate related responsibilities; lead communication efforts with incoming associates and facilitate internal processes in advance of associate arrivals
Support the Director and Associate Director with the firm wide Bi-Annual Review Processes and the Upward Review Program
Act as primary contact for departure related responsibilities, including interfacing with associates on individual questions and logistics
Oversee various monthly and quarterly reports, including general oversight over data and charts relating to legal personnel
Primary Visa/Immigration contact, including liaising with attorneys and immigration counsel on all related needs
Act as primary Benefits & Payroll contact regarding all changes in legal personnel status
Oversee Departmental expenses and as! sist with annual budget process
Counsel & Senior Counsel program oversight, including working to support the Counsel Committee and maintaining related statistics
International Associate Program oversight, including liaising with program partner facilitators, managing incoming and outgoing international associate program participants and immigration needs
Assist with coordination of Staff Attorney Program
Oversee annual New York State Wage Theft Prevention Act notification process
Oversee Secondment arrangements, including liaising with relationship partner, the seconded associate and relevant departments
Assist with reinforcing various legal personnel policies, e.g. diary compliance, vacation tracking etc.
Serve as resource to attorneys and provide guidance and direction on firm policies and standards

Required Education

Bachelor's degree

Required Qualifications

5-6 years of comparable experience, prior experien! ce in a law firm strongly preferred
Strong oral and written communi! cation skills and the ability to interact well and build professional relationships while maintaining confidentiality; collaborative approach to working with others of all seniority levels
Ability to self-direct, manage multiple priorities, analyze needs and implement solutions
