Description: We Are Social NY is hiring Designer right now, this position will be placed in New York. Detailed specification about this position opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. We Are Social is a specialist social media agency with offices in eight countries around the world. We’re currently on the hunt for some amazingly talented people to join our growing team in New York.
We’re lo! oking for bright, enthusiastic (and not to mention creative), designers to help us conceptualize, and create, visually fantastic social content for our growing list of US clients .
You’ll ideally have experience creating content optimized for digital and social media platforms i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr etc. You’ll need to come armed with a high proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator are our favorites), and a strong knowledge of typography, color, layout and photo manipulation.
We work in a fast paced environment across numerous clients, so ensuring you are a quick learner, have a high level of attention to detail, can juggle multiple tasks and client design specs, as well as adhering to deadlines is (all!) essential. As a strong team member, you’ll have the ability to communicate effectively, proactively contribute and brain-storm ideas, as well as be able to take direction from the team and clients.
Demonstrating these additional skills will be advantageous:
Experience creating motion .gifs & editing video using After Effects
Knowledge of HTML/CSS
Experience designing or developing Facebook apps or Tumblr themes
Presentation design using Powerpoint or Keynote
A portfolio featuring strong Illustrative work
Just as importantly as the above, you’ll not only be up to date on design trends but you’ll be passionate about social media in all of its forms (probably spending way too much of your free time on Facebook and Twitter - we won’t judge you!) You’ll also understand the commercial context of your work, being comfortable with the principles of branding, information architecture, usability, user experience design and designing for community.
