This leading financial institution is seeking a Contract Attorney / Regulatory Analyst to work in its midtown office. This position is expected to run six months to one year. Ho! urly pay rate to be determined based on experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Identify, review and analyze emerging new federal, state, and country laws, regulations, and guidance impacting Operations &Technology; legislative areas include anti-money laundering, continuity of business, information security, data protection, technology risk management, and outsourcing.
- Track and maintain developments of regulatory items, including proposed/final legislation and guidance
- Develop communications of key regulatory information to various internal stakeholders
At least 5 years of legal/compliance or regulatory experience, preferably in the finance sector, enforcement, regulatory compliance, or operations and technology risk/control functions, and:
- NYS Bar Admission
- Exceptional skill in interpreting laws and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communic! ation skills
- Multitasking capabilities
- Abili! ty to handle a heavy workload and meet deadlines
- Proficiencies in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
