Position Description:
Chartis Staff Counsel has an opportunity for an Associate Attorney out of the Elmsford, NY Staff Counsel Office. Key responsibilities for the position include:
- Litigation of general liability cases from inception through trial.
- Supporting a case load of 60-70 files.
- Handling of all aspects and phases of the file, including discovery, pleadings, motions and trial.
- Attending depositions and court appearances.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience handling complex general liability litigation, including auto and premises liability and defense of personal injury cases.
- Excellent computer skills, including a good working knowledge o! f Microsoft Word/Outlook.
- Exceptional analytical, com! munication and presentation skills.
- Proven advocacy and trial skills.
